Editing the metadata of the mp3 and flac files stored on the Rip-N-Play
Posted by John Cook on 02 September 2014 01:23 PM

While there are various ways of editing mp3/flac metadata, mostly by accessing the files via the network with 3rd party applications, we recommend the use of the in-built Subsonic, web-based streaming platform.

All you have to do is go to the Rip-N-Play management web-page. This will be accesible from any browser by going to http://ripnplay (from a device on the same network as the Rip-N-Play) and clicking on the Subsonic link in the right-side menu.

Once logged in to Subsonic (Default User-name: admin, Default Password: admin) you can navigate through the file structure to the required album and once you can see the tracks press the Edit Tags link.

Don't forget to press Save at the button once you are finished editing the metadata.
